“The most spectacular fireworks display in town of Newburgh history,” that’s what town of Newburgh councilman George Woolsey is calling the grand finanle to the 2010 Community Day held at Cronomer Park in the town of Newburgh on Friday, July 2.
Hundreds of people, young and old, began arriving at the park shortly after 6 pm to visit the dozens of vendors and booths featuring art activities like henna designs and both Republican and Democratic political committees. All of the fire departments in the town of Newburgh – and the ambulance service – brought their vehicles to the park for people to check out.
There was plenty of great food and music, beginning with a solo performance by singer/guitar player Cupero at 6 pm, to entertain the people who came to visit, relax, and wait for the big finale that started just after darkness set it – the fireworks.
A great way for Newburghers to celebrate their community – and the beginning of the Fourth of July holiday weekend!
