Photographer Mel Kleiman remembers walking down these hallways forty years ago when he and his wife took out a house mortgage at the Albany Savings Bank. Today, the bank has closed its business and the Karpeles Manuscript Museum and Library occipy the ground floor of this grand building at Broadway and Liberty Street.
