The Newburgh Free Library is seeking entries for its annual Community Art Show and invites artists to bring one painting, photograph, graphic, mixed media or sculpture piece to the library between March 28 and April 1 to be included in the show.
Entries will be judged in six categories: oil or acrylic, pastel, watercolor, photography, graphic or mixed media and sculpture. Ribbons will be awarded for first, second, third and honorable mention in each category, as well as best in show. A reception will be held on Sun., April 10 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. to kick off National Library Week. The public is invited to attend and refreshments will be served courtesy of the Friends of the Newburgh Free Library.
Artists may submit one entry not previously exhibited in a Library Art Show. All work, except sculpture, must be properly framed and ready to hang and all work must be accompanied by a signed waiver. Each exhibitor is responsible for reviewing the Newburgh Free Library’s Exhibit Spaces and Bulletin Boards Policy.
