Many people may know Merle Becker because of her documentary film “Saving Newburgh,” made several years ago. Now Becker, a producer/director with Freakfilms, Inc., has turned her camera on an effort by three Newburgh residents to restore a house at 17 Courtney Street in the Newburgh Heights neighborhood, where Becker also lives.
It’s a short piece, but one that gives you an idea of what can happen when people put their ideas and resources together. Check it out.
