“Amanda” by Rachel Weidkam won Best in Show at the annual Community Art Show sponsored by the Newburgh Free Library and the Friends of the Newburgh Library. In this non-juried show 80 entries were received in six categories. The show runs April 4 – 22.

Watercolors – Joseph Simeone, 1st Place; Catherine Crotty Sharpe, 2nd Place; Joan H. Putnam, 3rd Place and Fred T. Mitchell, Honorable Mention.
Pastels – Fanny Copeland, 1st Place; Judy Byrne, 2nd Place; Cathy Prager, 3rd Place and Lily Norton, Honorable Mention.
Richard Hirschman's piece won third place in the photography category.
