A man was shot while he sat in a vehicle parked on South Miller Street Wednesday night and police say they have charged a woman with tampering with physical evidence, a felony charge, in the case.
Police report that at around 9:30 pm an unidentified 23-year-old man was shot in the arm and leg while sitting in the passenger side of a vehicle parked outside 23 South Miller Street. He was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound.
Joyce Berger, a 31-year-old Newburgh resident and the owner of the vehicle in which the victim was shot, was charged after police learned that she allegedly tried to remove evidence from the crime scene.
