With a new box office in the Ritz Theater now ready for business, the owners of the building that houses the theater, the Ann Street Gallery and the Cornerstone Residence are looking for someone to open a café.
Safe Harbors of the Hudson, which operates the building, is seeking proposals from qualified restaurateurs to develop and run a café in a commercial space facing Broadway. Safe Harbors will work with the selected restaurant operator to design the café concept to fit their own creative vision for the space and will provide the build out costs as well as free rent for six months. Other incentives to support the café business are available, too.
Safe Harbors welcomes proposals from experienced restaurateurs who can provide quality, fresh affordable food for breakfast, lunch or possibly more. In announcing its search, the group estimates that 1,550 people work within three city blocks of the site and notes that SUNY Orange students are only one block away. In addition, the Cornerstone Residence is home to 125 tenants, some of whom may be available to work in the café.
