The Newburgh Jazz Series is looking for a new home. Series founder Aquanetta Wright tells Newburgh Circle that the music series that expanded this year to include Gospel and Doo-wop on Tuesday nights attracts so many people that parking for patrons of nearby business has become a problem.
At the Jazz Series final concert on Wednesday, August 31, Aquanetta will be talking about finding an alternative to the waterfront location where the series has been held for five years.
Wednesday performance by the talented musicians of Sage, an all-women jazz ensemble, kicks off at 6:30 pm. Stick around after the performance for the Annual After-Party and Fundraiser at the River Rose pier. There will be dancing, food, a cash bar and, of course, plenty of music. Tickets are $20 and larger donations are welcomed.
