It’s official: the brand new box office at the historic Ritz Theater on Broadway in Newburgh is open for business. At a ceremony on Wednesday evening an official ribbon-cutting was held, then patrons could purchase tickets for the upcoming Tom Humphries Guitar Series that gets underway October 15.
The Ritz Theater, which is attached to the Cornerstone Residence run by Safe Harbors of the Hudson, is currently being renovated to its original glory days as a movie house and performance theater on Broadway. While funds for the $12 million renovation are being raised, the building’s lobby has been restored and is used for a series of cultural events and concerts, including the guitar series.
Mary Gauthier will perform November 11th.
