City Government Needs New Faces

To the Editor:

Newburgh has sunk from being an All American City to the Murder Capital of New York.  The present City Hall is controlled by a group of politicians who have contributed to this decline.  We cannot afford to let them rule our lives if we are ever to get out from behind the eight ball.

The constant arguing, fighting and political power plays are not what Newburgh needs.  We need pride.  We need leadership.  We need cooperation.  We need new ideas.  We need new faces.

The Mayor’s job is to provide all those things.  We haven’t gotten the benefit of that.  It is extremely unlikely that someone already part of that group is going to make any change whatsoever.  We need Judy Kennedy who comes from a business background and has no preconceived alliances of political power.  She will be a leader on behalf of all of us in this City.  It is time for a change and progress.
