To the Editor:
Newburgh citizens have a real choice this year in Council candidates. They can choose the Democratic team with fresh ideas, strategic focus and real business experience or they can choose members of the “old guard’ and continue the “zoo” at the city council. Everyone who has attended council meetings knows exactly what that means!
Judy Kennedy has a degree in business administration with a computer science minor, was an owner/operator of three small businesses, then started her climb in the corporate world. Over the years, she has traveled widely and accumulated multiple business disciplines. She brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the City.
Gay Lee, a graduate from Smith College with a Master’s degree in social work, has experience in housing, creating business corporations and writing grants. Her strength in guiding the City through the many social issues is extremely valuable.
Cedric Brown’s degree in economics and seven years in banking and financial management brings highly-needed expertise to the financial mess that the City needs. As a life-long citizen of Newburgh and 15 years as a business owner, Cedric understands all the Newburgh issues.
So what do you want? The same old story or Kennedy, Lee and Brown?
