In the town of Newburgh, the incumbent Republicans were swept back into office in Tuesday’s general election. Town supervisor Wayne Booth defeated his challenger, Stephen Krasner, and town council members Gil Piaquadio and George Woolsey, Sr. won re-election over challengers William Corbin, Vanessa Tirado and Gary MacEntee. Town clerk Andrew Zarutskie and town justice Richard Clarino both won re-election with no opposition.
