Thomas Comes Aboard Waterfront Committee
Chuck Thomas, who is in charge of outreach at the Newburgh Free Library, will be joining the Waterfront Advisory Committee, a step that was celebrated by council woman Marge Bell and Mayor Valentine on Monday. Although a well-recognized figure about the city, Thomas only recently became a city resident, making him eligible to serve on a committee.

Corporation Council Michelle Kelson said that the owners will also pay $450,000 in delinquent water and sewer charges and $272,000 for delinquent PILOT payments incurred by the previous owners, as well as a municipal impact fee of $200,000.
