The City of Newburgh is back in the national news, but this time it is for something positive going on. The Railroad Playhouse is featured in this Sunday’s New York TImes, which describes the efforts of Jen and Seth Soloway to build a successful theater and to “see Newburgh restored to its former sheen.”
The couple is celebrating the first anniversary of the Railroad Playhouse and mounting a campaign to raise money to build greater stability for the theater.
The article also describes the efforts of developer Ray Yannone, who restored the old West Shore Railroad Station because he saw it as a symbol of the city’s downhil slide and its potential for restoration.
