The Christmas tree looked beautiful, but if you are wondering what to do with it now the holidays are over, here is an earth-friendly solution. The City of Newburgh Shade Tree Commission, along with the Department of Public Works and the Downing Park Planning Committee are sponsoring their annual Christmas Tree Recycling Party on Saturday, Jan. 14 from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m.
Drop your tree off at the Downing Park Greenhouses (follow the signs), and it will be ground into mulch which will nourish City trees. For more information, please call Downing Park at (845) 565-5559.
