A short preview of the new film, Return, will appeal to people who know the city of Newburgh, where part of the movie was shot in 2010. The film, which stars Linda Cardenelli, Michael Shannon and John Slattery, tells the painful struggle of a Iraqi war veteran to return to normal life after the war.
Scenes from the film were shot in the rambling Holden Home that set designers transformed into a drug and alcohol recovery residence where the film’s leading actor, Linda Cardellini, ends up after her return from serving in Iraq. Other scenes were filmed in New Windsor.
Return opens in theaters on February 10 — but click the film name to see a preview with scenes that you will undoubtedly recognize.
