Nora Cronin Presentation Academy will mark its celebration of Catholic Schools Week with its third Barnes & Noble Book Fair at the B&N Store on Union Avenue and Rte. 17K in Newburgh, on Saturday and Sunday, January 28 and 29 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This year, two authors will be on hand to talk with visitors and sign copies of their books.
Derek George wrote the book Heart of a Lion, which chronicles his teenage son John Paul’s experience with a heart rare condition. After several years and three heart surgeries the family rejoiced in celebrating Christmas together, an act that re-affirmed his hope and trust in God.
In addition, local children’s author Michelle M. Birkenstock will be in the B&N children’s corner to sign copies of her books Baxter’s Hibernation and Harry the Caterpillar. Michelle grew up in the Hudson Valley. She is the Director of the Religious Education Program at her church. Her books teach children to face questions about frustration and inadequacy with a positive look to a beautiful future with optimism and hope.
A percent of all sales, in the store (any store in the US) and online, on those days will be donated to NCPA at no cost to the shoppers. Just mention the ID #10664134.
The event is chaired by Trustee -Vice President Diane Halstead.
