A 23-year-old Newburgh man has been charged with first-degree assault and reckless endangerment for his alleged role in a shooting and stabbing at the Hacienda Night Club on Broadway last December.

City of Newburgh police say that Ardae Hines shot a 17-year-old Newburgh man during a fight on the dance floor inside the club on December 17, 2011. More than 100 people were at the scene when the teen was shot . His 18year-old brother was stabbed in the melee.
The Hacienda shut down following the incident and the revocation of its liquor license.
