At least 20 people have been injured, four of them seriously, after an worldwide China Eastern Airlines flight from Paris hit turbulence over southwest China, according to state news media.
The agency reports that passengers suffered injuries such as bone fractures and soft tissue injuries after being thrown from their seats or being hit by falling luggage.

“(We) remind all passengers, for your safety, please fasten safety belts”, the post added.
No passengers or crew were injured.
In a posting on its official Weibo account, China Eastern Airlines said that it had arranged relevant medical services for the flight’s passengers, without confirming details of the injuries. Because of the disruption, the fight landed an hour and twenty minutes later than scheduled. “We feel lucky the plane did not crash”.
According to the reports, the nearly two dozen people were injured when Flight MU774, from Paris to Kunming, experienced severe turbulence.
“We applauded when the plane landed safely”, an injured passenger surnamed Shang was quoted as saying.
Earlier this month, a China Eastern flight bound for Shanghai was forced to turn back to Sydney due to a mid-air emergency.
