UPSC is the centralised authority that organises examinations like civil services examination, combined medical services examination, engineering services examination, combined defence services examination and others. Last year, only 4.59 lakh candidates appeared for the examination, however the number of applicants was higher. Candidates need to score 33% of marks to get qualified in this examination.
