“So it’s quite hard for Bran to have any kind of semblance of personality anymore because he’s really like a giant computer”. Notice how when Sansa hugged Bran, he didn’t really hug back.
When Bran and Jon meet up again, he will presumably be like, “Hey Jon, it’s been a while”. Things got even weirder later; as he explained his new role as the Three-Eyed Raven meant he could see everything, he chose to tell Sansa she looked pretty the night she married (and was viciously raped by) Ramsay Bolton. The way he described it was “somebody put in front of him a massive encyclopedia of all of time and he’s only opened page one”.
Seen for just a fleeting moment is what looks like Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) on horseback, looking over her homeland of Winterfell.
It sounds like Bran has a tough race to run ahead of him, and showrunner David Benioff is counting on him not finishing too fast.
Ever since the original Thee-Eyed Raven first appeared inside that giant tree in the North, fans were speculating the old man could be a future version of Bran.
Another person said: “Aayyyeeeeeee it’s about damn time! He’s got serious challenges dealing with all the stuff happening in his mind and that prevents him becoming this omniscient character”. There were several other highlights, but the most memorable one was Sansa Stark and Bran Stark’s reunion. So it was a balancing act to account for who Bran is now without letting that overtake the story.
Although we may still have a while to wait before we finally get the full Stark family reunion, especially with Jon Snow disappearing off to Dragonstone during last week’s episode, it does look like it is finally drawing closer – and there is one fan theory that has started to gain even more traction than usual.
Maybe that’s not the Bran we used to know. There are more hints from the next “Game of Thrones” episode’s preview that Sansa and Arya might just band together against Little Finger. The people who tend to stay alive in those positions are people who are ruthless and politically conniving and I don’t think Bran has the ability to do that.
Does that mean he has no place on the Iron Throne?
