WhatsApp now testing an In App Youtube playback for Videos

Excited already? The word is that the Facebook-owned social messaging app is using the concept of picture-in-picture (PIP) view to let users play open YouTube links within its platform.

Whatsapp will now also allow users to share any type of document file.

If there is one gripe that we’re sure many users have of WhatsApp is that whenever you share a YouTube video, it comes in the form of a link where clicking it will exit the app and launch YouTube.

See it in action in video at WABetainfo here. Users can resize window with a pinch or can play videos in full screen mode. This may change in future because the company is still working on it.

WhatsApp keep on rolling out new features on and off. It can be put into fullscreen mode by pinching on the video.

WhatsApp is now testing a feature we all have been waiting for a long time. This means that users can now even those files on WhatsApp which earlier required to be uploaded on cloud or back up drive.

The news arrives via WABetaInfo, which claims that WhatsApp is now testing the feature with a small number of users on iOS devices. Its very initial to comment whether the feature would come for Android or iOS as WhatsApp has not given any official statement regarding it.

If WhatsApp will add it also in Android and WP versions, you will see a post here and you will be notified on Twitter and our Telegram Channel, but be confident.
