Ander Herrera Expresses Disappointment Over Alvaro Morata's Failed Man United Move

ANDER HERRERA is reportedly set to sign a new four-year deal with Manchester United worth £41.6m per year, despite Barcelona’s continued interest.

The 27-year-old Spaniard midfielder was fundamental in the Red Devils’ all three honours last season, scoring two goals and adding seven assists.

Manchester United are set to face Real Madrid next month in the UEFA Super Cup final, which is an exciting prospect for the former Atletico Bilbao player.

Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera enjoyed some fantastic form for the Red Devils last season, during which he became one of Jose Mourinho’s most important players.

Another United transfer narrative, surrounding the talks to acquire Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, has been discussed at length the past couple days.

“I reached the point of seeing Morata as a teammate, he was very close [to joining United]”, he said. “I prefer to have him with me, so I will do everything possible to have him here”.

De Gea was quick to reply, sharing a video of himself scoring a fantastic free kick with the caption: “I think you should be the one to be scared”. “Of course, playing against Madrid is a good test for us”, Herrera told reporters. “We’ve signed an important player in attack and it’s hard but you never know”, Mata told Cadena Cope.

“He’s happy and I know I sound repetitive because I always say the same thing”, said Herrera.

“I’m going to do everything I can to make sure he stays”.
