Michael Jordan says he could beat LaVar Ball on one leg

“You’ve got to understand the source”, Jordan said when asked about Ball. “He played, I think, some college maybe”. He averaged, what, 2.2 points a game?

“It doesn’t deserve a response, but I’m a give it to you because you asked the question”, Jordan said.

No one in his right mind thinks Ball could beat MJ one-on-one, including, now we know, MJ himself. The loud-mouthed father of three talented sons hasn’t been shy about issuing public challenges to some of the greatest National Basketball Association players of all-time, then failing to follow up on them.

It took five months, but Jordan reacted during a Q&A session at his basketball camp in California.

No kidding, considering Jordan’s basketball resume.

That hasn’t stopped Ball from repeatedly doubling down on the claim, though, and boasting about how no one can beat him in a game of 1-on-1.

Jordan averaged 35 points and 5.5 rebounds for the Bulls in that same time frame. He better make every shot ’cause he can’t go around me.

On Tuesday (Aug. 1), Ball called Jordan’s respond “entertainment”. Has to be on Pay-Per-View.

The king of trash talk finally had enough, I suppose.

In March, LaVar told USA Today Sports he would “kill Michael Jordan one-on-one”. He tells me he can beat me with one leg. “His father’s very proud of him – of all his kids, I’d assume, like any father would be proud of his kids”. The event not only featured Jordan on the court but also a reunion with his former teammate Scottie Pippen.
