The Walt Disney World Resort is set to receive a new Tron-themed attraction. First up, an E-ticket Guardians of the Galaxy ride is coming to Epcot Center.
If you need a break from drinking across the world next time you’re at Epcot, there will soon be some new out-of-this-world attractions. Try not to anticipate that it will be as high-adrenaline as Mission: Breakout!, yet affirmed to be a blend between a tiresome ride and a rollercoaster, it will without a doubt be a good time for the entire family. No real details were given, except the context for the ride: the Guardians have landed on Earth at Epcot because Rocket Raccoon finds, and steals, a photo of a young Peter Quill at Epcot, and wants to investigate. The newly-announced version of the ride is similar to Ratatouille: The Adventure, a 4D attraction that opened in Disneyland Paris in 2014. The Ratatouille ride will be added to a new area just past the Eiffel Tower.
During the ride, guests shrink down to the size of the film’s star, a sophisticated rat named Remy.

Chapek also announced that the “closed for refurbishment” Mission: Space will re-open with a new “Green” mission, while the existing “Orange” trip to Mars will be more spectacular.
Both the rides had been rumored for a while and recent construction permits seemingly confirmed the work, however, D23 gave us a closer look at what to expect from a revamped Epcot.
