Jaguar is also promising the very latest connectivity for E-Pace owners.
A Guinness World Record was set during the launch of a new auto, perhaps for the first time, as moments after the new Jaguar E-Pace was unveiled in London last Thursday, it leapt into the Guinness book by making a 15.3m-long jump, complete with a 270 degree “barrel roll”.
It’s just 48 hours since the new Jaguar E-Pace was revealed, but Jaguar are wasting no time reaching out to buyers, with the E-Pace configurator already live on Jaguar’s website.
It was launched at London’s ExCel centre with stunt driver terry Grant performing a world record “barrell roll” jump, recreating a stunt from James Bond film The Man with the Golden Gun.
Jaguar has just revealed the E Pace and it looks lovely at the very first sight. And when Jaguar launched the first crossover in the company’s history, they had it do a 360 degree loop-the-loop setting a Guinness world record in the process.
With a design which may say Jaguar “Cub” – but definitely doesn’t say “baby” F-Pace as we’d expected – Jaguar has delivered a vehicle which makes just about anything you would consider a challenge – Audi Q3, BMW X1, Mercedes GLA – look rather passé. However all but entry-level E-Pace variants will have an all-wheel-drive powertrain.
The top model of the Jaguar E Pace is powered by a 2-litre four-cylinder Ingenium engine while power will range between 148 bhp, 177 bhp and 237 bhp on the diesel, and 247 bhp and 297 bhp of power for the petrol variants respectively. The sturdy and robust E-Pace is expected to become Jaguar’s most-selling model.
The infotainment system in Jaguar E-Pace is central 10.2-inch touchscreen.
With a starting price of 28, 500 in United Kingdom the Jaguar E-Pace is expected to be introduced in the Indian market with a larger price tag which may be above Rs. 24 lakh.
